Rare Beauty wants to break down unrealistic standards of perfection, and let everyone celebrate what makes them rare. “It’s makeup made to feel good in, without hiding what makes you unique.” Plus, one percent of all sales will go to the Rare Impact Fund, to increase access to mental health resources, with a focus on underserved communities.
Premier gets a rare opportunity to further a good cause.
Our goal was to make the kit as inviting as the spirit behind the product line – from the way the box opens, to the empowering message from Selena Gomez, to the stunning display of products.
It’s a large turned-edge box coated with a soft-touch laminate, four-color printed to match the Rare Beauty corporate color, foil-stamped, and with a spot gloss. Fabric tabs open the box all the way out horizontally, to reveal four compartments, two with flap lids, two with slide-out drawers, and each with a corrugate custom die-cut tray to house the products. Each box contains 31 different items, including seven matched specifically to the complexion of the recipient. And under the magnetized top lid is a 20-page four-color pamphlet, printed on silk stock, saddle-stitched with gold staples.
It was important to Rare Beauty, and to us, to get everything right. The corporate color match had to be perfect. Since every box had its own unique combination of products, we paid close attention to quality control in the setup and assembly. And of course, the box was produced in our carbon-neutral facility using VOC-free inks with recycled and recyclable materials.
