We’re Passionate About Protecting the Environment
Many companies claim to be green printers. But, the complexity of true sustainability is much more than recycling paper. Premier Press is the first full-service printing company on the west coast to qualify for SGP certification (Sustainable Green Printing Partners). SGP audits, documents, applies program metrics, implements management systems, requires environmental footprint reduction, pollution prevention and monitors social and ethical aspects of a business. SGP is the premier certification service that ensures environmentally friendly, green printing services.
Premier Press is documented and audited as a sustainable printing company. Operating as a 100% wind powered business, certified by several major environmental organizations, and a carbonless footprint business, we are a proven industry leader in our commitment to the future of our planet.
Our goal is to be a forerunner in the battle for true sustainability.
At Premier Press we are proud that we were certified as the West Coast’s first Full Service Printer by the Sustainable Green Partnership (SGP).
We pursued SGP (Sustainable Green Printing) certification because it is the only environmental organization to scrutinize the process—not just paper procurement. The certification standards are stringent and require continual improvement proven by 3rd party biannual audits.
We believe it’s worth it. The SGP mission is to promote worldwide participation in reducing environmental impact in the graphic communications industry, while increasing social responsibility. Certification guidelines stipulate that materials employed are derived from renewable resources whenever possible. We use low environmental impact materials and employ maximized recycling and recovery. We encourage change from our vendors and customers while helping to educate our community.

Our Sustainability Policy
Sustainability is desirable, feasible, and necessary. It is the only possible long-term future. Premier Press demonstrates environmental leadership by adopting strategies and practices that protect, sustain and restore our environment. We will seek out sustainable materials, we will use and reuse fewer resources more wisely, and we will use renewable energy as efficiently as possible. We will encourage our customers to join us in reducing our collective environmental footprint while enhancing the value and impact of our products. We are committed to identify, monitor and maintain and/or exceed regulatory compliance with labor laws, and environmental, health and safety regulations. Progress toward these goals will be considered a key metric of our growth as a company.
Our path forward confirms to our customers and the business community that sustainability is an opportunity, not a liability.
Only when I saw the Earth from space, in all its ineffable beauty and fragility, did I realize that humankind’s most urgent task is to cherish and preserve it for future generations.
