Grön conjures classic horror vibes with glowing inks for its Halloween packaging activation collection
The Halloween season is beloved by countless Americans with fond memories of staying up late watching classic black and white horror movies — Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, and several other Universal monsters that are now timeless Halloween costume staples.
The team at Grön, a leading creator of cannabis-infused confections, was eager to channel this distinct horror aesthetic for a delightfully spooky and playful seasonal line of edibles available in October 2024.
Following years of partnership with Grön, Premier Press was ready to bring this new vision to life and help design a full dispensary event experience that would leave people screaming for more.
Turn Off The Lights for this Halloween Cannabis Experience
Grön’s creative and marketing teams are masters at designing compelling visuals and engaging campaigns with a consistent brand identity. Its packaging is known for its colorful and bright aesthetic, but the team wanted to invoke a seasonal feel using black, white, and Grön’s Mother Green.
The Halloween collection unveiled two new mystery flavors — Mystery Mega and Phantom Pearls — of its leading edibles lines. The team designed a full marketing rollout complete with posters, custom packaging, digital visuals, and materials for dispensary events.
Premier collaborated with Grön to print several assets for its activation, and we helped conceptualize blacklight-sensitive packaging to surprise anyone brave enough to turn off the lights.
The Phantom Pearls edibles packaging is white with black text, creating a distinct classic horror vibe. Hidden on the package is a unique ink that glows when exposed to black light.


Dispensaries can proudly showcase the edibles with an easy-to-assemble tabletop display that promotes this ghoulish double feature of flavor. Popcorn boxes hold other rollout materials, including t-shirts and posters, for an ultimate dispensary event package.
T-shirts worn by budtenders and given away to visitors also react to blacklight, illuminating the Grön logo for a cohesive Halloween experience. The shirts were screenprinted at our facilities in Portland.


The edibles themselves perfectly complement the packaging and create a fun display when set out to be enjoyed at a Halloween party or get-together (only in states where cannabis is legal and when consumed by individuals who are 21 years or older, of course).
We created everything so it could be safely shipped to dispensaries with low-cost rates, and everything is designed to be assembled effortlessly. The displays and boxes are built without any glue, making them easy to set up and recycle.
Designing Full Dispensary Event and Cannabis Packaging Experiences
This unique Halloween activation is a prime example of how cannabis brands can create bold experiences that capture attention and add a fun twist to the holidays.
