We’ve learned that our collaboration with Michael Jordan and Gatorade has won a national award from the Printing Industries of America!
The organization honors excellence in graphic communications with its annual Premier Print Awards, judging thousands of submissions from all over the world. Our seeding package celebrating the 25th anniversary of the iconic “Be Like Mike” advertising campaign won the 2019 Benny (Best in Category) for Media Packaging.
Has it really been 25 years since we were all singing along to the “Be Like Mike” Gatorade commercial? It has. And to mark the occasion, Premier designed and produced this gorgeous custom seeding package from concept to reveal.
The unique shape of the box features two compartments to individually highlight each piece of Jordan swag. The top compartment opens to reveal acrylic tubes holding custom T-shirts, towel, and Gatorade GX bottle. The front of the box then opens to showcase two pairs of custom Air Jordan sneakers, a custom jacket, hat, and a printed insert card describing the spirit behind the “Be Like Mike” campaign.
Layers of custom touches and specialty techniques make this box a one-of-a-kind package. Featuring Soft Touch graphics, spot gloss, foil stamping, and satin ribbons, this feat of creative production has everything to make influencers around the world take notice.
