Oregon State University decided it was time to bring the Merrit Truax Indoor Practice Center up to the level of OSU’s other premium sports facilities.
The building had remained unbranded for the first fifteen years of its existence, a clean slate just waiting for the latest OSU graphics.
Following the design guide of OSU’s Ideation team, Premier’s team handled production and installation of the facility’s branding. Our chief concern was making sure that Oregon State’s signature orange color printed to exact specifications across every substrate. We ran multiple tests on various materials to make sure the colors were correct on each one.
To help OSU size their designs to the specifications of the building, our team made sure to conduct a site survey to provide accurate and clear information. Each wall was covered in a plastic laminate that required aggressive self-adhesive material for the permanent install.
From the seven foot tall ‘Beavers’ letters to the Mendenhall Family dedication, every aspect of the completed facility honors the Truax Center’s legacy. Brushed aluminum-edged signs add visual dimension to each corner of the facility and each endzone features a sweeping image of eager fans – a constant reminder of game days to come. Each piece of updated branding informs players, recruits, and visitors that the Truax Center is the Beavers’ indoor home.
