Blade & Soul Sweepstakes Display Case

Blade & Soul is a Korean fantasy martial-arts massively multiplayer online role-playing game. To celebrate their fourth anniversary, Blade & Soul commissioned Space Monkey Designs to create a limited-edition sneaker and box that would be given away to ten lucky winners. Portland branding agency Project 202 helped to refine a spectacular display case that echoed the visual themes of the game, and Premier Press handled the engineering and fabrication.

Like the shoes, everything about the presentation is custom. We meticulously constructed a hexagonal box with Blade & Soul’s distinctive colors. Everything was printed on silver laminate, to mimic the quality of Korean lacquerware. The interior is Dasari red, and the exterior is Blackram black, printed with a metallic gold dragon motif that continues up the side of the box, from the base to the lid. It was an exacting process to make sure the lines of the design matched perfectly.

The top lid is a clear acrylic, laser-etched with the Blade & Soul logo, and encapsulated within the interior rim of the box.
